The Scarred Prince: A Beauty and the Beast and Little Red Riding Hood Retelling by Erika Everest (Tales from the Kingdoms of Fable book 1)
Sienna is tired of people thinking she needs a man to protect her. She wants to live her life free from fear — and be able to choose her own husband. She infiltrates the home of the Wolf of the West and convinces himt ot train her as one of his renowned Red Hoods.
Prince Sebastian hides behind his red hood, unwilling to let anyone see the scars that mar his face. But when yet another potential bride rejects him because of it, he becomes even more determined to hide away forever.
But there’s a greater threat in Fable, and Sienna and Sebastian will have to work together to find the truth.
“Sometimes the hidden scars were far more vicious than the visible ones.”
I love this book so much. Sienna is the feisty, clever heroine we all crave, and Sebastian also grows throughout the story. I loved his arc, and seeing the two of them together.
A large secondary plot line was introduced late in the book and not resolved, so you have to read the next book to see what happens with that.
