Pearls of Salt and Sacrifice by Everly Haywood (Sacrificed Hearts Book 2)

Inspired by Perseus and Andromeda

One princess, three suitors. What’s a girl to do when everyone wants to marry her but no one wants to save her people?

Reva is determined to secure a trade agreement to help her starving island kingdom, but she hadn’t realized marriage would be part of the contract. Negotiations are cast aside after a deadly attack on the cove, and Reva is forcibly pulled away. As reasons to reject all three offers pile up, the attacks continue, proving someone isn’t interested in playing fair.

But can Reva save her people before she loses her heart?

“I’m not that kind of princess.”

~ Everly Haywood, Pearls of Salt and Sacrifice

I loved Reva sooo much! She’s spunky, determined, and knows how to use a sword. All three suitors were so different and watching her try to choose was a lot of fun. I admit a bit of disappointment when my favorite didn’t win. 😉

The world Everly has created was so beautiful and layered. The baby kraken were my favorite! I loved seeing how the story tied in with the Between Shades and Flame series.

If you love adventures on the high seas, swash-buckling princesses, cocky pirates, and handsome elves, you have to read this story!
